Spring Farm CARES Recieves $10,000 from Staffworks Charitable Fund

On October 17, Spring Farm CARES located in Clinton, NY, was awarded a $10,000 grant from the Staffworks Charitable Fund. They were the grand-prize winners of the inaugural Community Foundation Community Choice Award in the Animals category.

A “prize patrol” bus transported Staffworks and Community Foundation staff to Spring Farm CARES. Once we arrived, we surprised the Spring Farm CARES team with a ceremonial check for $10,000, balloons, and celebration!

The Staffworks Charitable Fund is the only donor-advised fund at the Community Foundation with a focus on providing funding for at-risk animals. Since 2009 the Staffworks Charitable Fund has provided over $1.4 million in grants.

Spring Farm CARES is an animal and nature sanctuary that focuses on the care of unwanted and abused animals, the spiritual connection between humans and animals, and the spaying and neutering of dogs and cats. This grant will support their ongoing spay and neuter program that assists low-income residents from Oneida County in spaying and neutering their pets.
